What happens when you book a porta potty?

When you book a porta potty with Carl Rental Works, dispatch confirms your address, dates, unit type and placement, quotes one itemized total and takes payment to hold the date. You get a text confirmation with the delivery day. Event units arrive the day before; job-site units arrive on the start date you choose.

  1. Quote (5 minutes): ZIP, dates, unit, headcount. One total on the call or by text.
  2. Booking: card payment holds the date. Contractors can apply for invoice billing.
  3. Site details: gate code, lockbox, placement spot, overhead wires, septic lines and soft ground.
  4. Delivery: driver sets and levels the unit, then texts a photo.
  5. Service: weekly pump-out, wash and restock on job sites; a signed service tag stays on the door.
  6. Pickup: call or text to end. Event units are collected the next business day.

Where should the unit be placed?

The unit should be placed on firm, level ground within about 25 feet of where a service truck can park, with 5 feet of clear space in front of the door. Avoid low spots, septic lids, sprinkler heads and spots under trees that drop limbs. In Temple's clay soils, gravel or pavement beats lawn after rain.

  • Gates must be at least 48 inches wide for a standard unit and 66 inches for an accessible unit.
  • Trucks need about 10 feet of width and 12 feet of height clearance.
  • Street placement needs city approval; driveways and yards do not.

How do servicing and extra visits work?

Servicing means pumping the waste tank, washing the inside, recharging the deodorizer and restocking paper and sanitizer. Job-site units get this every 7 days. If a unit fills early, call or text dispatch; an extra visit is usually completed the same or next business day and is billed per visit.

How do you extend or end a rental?

To extend a rental, do nothing on job sites: the next 28-day cycle starts automatically. For events, call before the pickup day to add days. To end a rental, call or text dispatch; billing stops on the pickup date, and the unit is removed within 1 to 2 business days.
